Oak Bassinet by Seimi

Oak bassinet with white fabric by SeimiIt’s expensive bed time again! I think I like looking at these because I can but only dream about spending a big chunk of change on a bassinet like this!

This latest wallet busting offering comes from designer Leena Poltonen and is based on a timeless Scandinavian design with a modern contemporary twist.

The solid oak provides a sturdy frame which has a transparent (but safe) canvas bed that means you can watch your baby sleep beside you. Light enough to be carried around the house, it gives a whole new meaning to not letting your baby out of your sight!

The canvas is made from paper yarn fabric.

Now I must admit that whilst I am very good at assembling things, I associate flat pack with getting a reduced price for my contributed labour! This £293.60 wonder does need assembling but I suppose you could consider it as another mini labour of love ;-)

I would very happily spend this kind of money on a cot (and more). Actually I did when I bought a Leander for almost £500 but for me personally, this is a bit much for a bassinet. It is beautiful and if you have the money to back up the taste then this is a great option for your baby’s first bed.
