New Season: Tootsa MacGinty
We are big Tootsa MacGinty fans. There is barely a day goes by when Betsy or Monty aren’t sporting at least one item from their collection. We adore them because their clothes are comfy, child-centred, colourful, non-gendered and wear incredibly well.
Their latest collection for Autumn Winter 12 has hit the rails and it is widely acknowledged as their strongest yet. Featuring inspiration from fairy tales and poems this season taps into nostalgia colours to deliver the one-of-everything-please feeling.
Their soft jersey stripes are back in new colourways alongside sweatshirts and (my favourite) striped raglan tops. The knitwear selection has expanded and includes their popular jaquard foxes alongside bears and an owl. I am loving the Bobby jumper and dresses which have a Scandi knit vibe going on. The addition of cardigans is a welcome sight especially the evocative wavey Owl and the Pussy Cat themed Jess Jaquared Knit (hot trend right there). There are cords in mustard and red (oh yes!) as well as denim dungarees and jeans. I think if I were to pick a favourite new line it would be the Jude reversible gilets – they are just too darn perfect.
AW12 is making my heart skippy and my wallet quiver: I defy you not to love this collection from Tootsa MacGinty.
