Monty’s First Birthday
A whole year has gone by since this little one came into the world. Second time around the year seems to have slipped away even more quickly and I find myself looking not at my newborn but at a boy desperate to explore the world. His jaunty, adventurous nature is tempered by his gentle and loving heart. We are so very lucky to have such a wonderful child.
As you can see in the photo, Monty is already very comfortable behind the wheel of his Vilac Ride on Tractor and we will be featuring some of his other gifts over the next week. For those of you who follow me on Twitter you will know we also made him a gift which involved some furious late night sewing. I know there must be at least three of you who are dying to know what our top secret project was and I can now reveal it is the tee-pee pictured above. Why the secrecy you ask? The tee-pee is set to be our first ever Bambino Goodies Pattern which we will be offering for sale in the near future.
We are currently working on refining the pattern so that it is easy to follow and doesn’t have any surprises. So if you would like to volunteer to be a pattern tester then please leave a comment below and remember to fill in your email address so we can get in touch with further details.

Hello – yes I would love to be a pattern tester for your tee-pee!
And happy birthday to Monty!
This is great! Thank you everyone! Kat is without t’internet (shock horror) till tomorrow, but she will email you all on her return to civilisation
Wow well done Kat – Tee-pee looks amazing. I would love to be a tester – but be warned – to class me as a novice when it comes to sewing is being generous!
I’ll test it for you!
Wow the teepee (wigwam in my day) looks soooo fab I would love to test it out….. off to look for some cool indian print fabric as we speak!
Happy Birthday Monty, all the best boys are born on that date!
i’d love to test my lack of sewing skills please….
Hello, my two-year-old would love for me to be a pattern tester on this gorgeous tee-pee design. We used to have the Habitat one but it shrank in the (cold) wash and no longer fit the very complicated system of poles and hoops. This one looks much more child-friendly!
Hi, I’d love to be a pattern tester. I was planning to try and work out how to make one for my son but yours looks gorgeous.
It’s fab, Kat! I’d love to test the pattern for you, x
It looks amazing – I’ve been looking for something like this for my little ones but didn’t like any that I’ve seen in the shops. I’d be more than happy to be a tester for you! Hannah
It looks brilliant. Would love to test the pattern for you, but as you know my sewing skills really aren’t up to much!
Oooh fab job, I bet Monty loves his new tent. I’ll volunteer to test the pattern too if you still need anyone else! x
Wow the tee pee is gorgeous! I’d love one for my son’s bedroom. I just got a sewing machine not so long ago so as a complete novice I would definitely give your pattern a good testing!
Thank you everyone for your well wishes and offers to test our pattern. I shall organise myself and send an email by the weekend to everyone who made an offer.
Kat x
I’m keen to test for you.
Just browsing web to buy art, decor and furniture for my 6months old room and thought I would check out your website. Its as if by magic I read this. Pretty please, I would love to test your pattern.
I’ve only just seen this Kat, so first off belated birthdays little man and secondly … impressive!! I wont offer to trial the pattern, I am crap and still struggling with my other simple projects….. but if you fancy whipping me one up …. anybody that is … let me know!!!
You never know, there may be a spare after testing…
