I have to admit…since I’ve had the kids, shopping for clothes for myself has shrunk dramatically, which to be fair, is not the worst thing in these credit crunchy times. I don’t have to walk through Soho anymore or accidentally on purpose dawdle through Oxford Street via Liberty. But I like to think I’m still stylish, I’m just more frugal about it, especially when I have mini divas eating into my clothing ‘budget’. Fortunately I’ve found clickety click central in Missguided – I was like ‘What’s this? Clothes that will hide the fact that I’ve been slack on exercising down my post c-section tummy?! Woohoo!’

Dedicated to affordable fashion, if you’re keen on ASOS, you’ll also love Missguided, although it’s on a much smaller scale. Don’t be scared by some of the bizarre eighties numbers (unless that’s your style); there are some stellar buys that will not only have you with your finger firmly on the style pulse, but will also hide a multitude of sins. Personally I think it’s particularly strong on dresses and knitwear, with fashionable yet classic pieces that won’t date and it’s not all black. Embellishments and shifts hide (OK…or reduce) lumps and bumps and cardigans are must-have staples, with the selection shown working well with bumps. The dresses featured are £19.99-£33.99 and the cardigans are £16.99-£23.99.

They only do size 8-14 though which is one size less than ASOS and Topshop Maternity – hopefully they will all add more sizes.

The tops are too ‘now’ and will have you looking like a backing dancer in a Whitney Houston video circa late mid ’80s, but don’t let that get in the way of a trawlathon! Enjoy!
