MillerGoodman PlayShapes

I play with, look at and write about a huge amount of toys and I think that if I were to pick the most inspirational it would be The ShapeMaker from MillerGoodman. I can’t wait to get one for my daughter, if you’re not convinced check out this animation.

I honestly didn’t think they could top it but in true creative style they have thought outside the box and come up with PlayShapes. It’s a set of 74 geometric rubberwood shapes which can be rearranged to create hundreds of shapes, pictures or 3D structures. The set comes in a box with a drawstring bag and set of illustrations. It is definitely not your classic blocks or shapes set – where else would you find a moustache shape? I love the mix of colour and wood they have used to bring the shapes alive. I’d put money on the creations of the MillerGoodman stable becoming iconic toys of our children’s generation which are passed down to their own children.

hot buy bambino goodiesPlayShapes will be in the Shhhop! from mid-November for £69.95 + P&P.

If you’re loving their style, check out the children’s range they designed for the Tate Gallery.
