Maxi-Cosi Mura Pushchairs

Maxi-Cosi Mura 4-wheel pushchairMaxi-Cosi Mura 3-wheel pushchairI had heard that my favourite manufacturer of carseats were doing their own pushchair but this is the first time I’ve taken a look at it.

For me…I think they should stick to car seats….

They’re quite reminiscent of Quinny Buzz’s (it wouldn’t surprise me if they were made by Quinny) but they lack a certain…finesse.

The seat is actually modelled on their award winning car seats yet for some reason this (for me) creates a rather awkward look. I have tried to identify what bugs me and it’s the foot rest – it ruins the look of the seat and it’s a shame that they couldn’t come up with something that was more in keeping with the uniformity of the design.

The RRP is around £300 for the 3-wheeler. Check out the full range and the features over at Oliver’s Babycare

Maxi-cosi used to make a pushchair. It was called the Maxi-taxi and I got given an old one second (actually, probably fourth)-hand. I really liked it but it had some weak points and eventually fell apart. I replaced it with the QuinnyBuzz because the seats are interchangable.

I went out with my Buzz yesterday and even though it’s not the lightest pushchair it’s a really pleasurable smooth ride. It definitely looks better than the Mura. ‘Maxi-Taxi’ – funny name!
