Although I despise the high street’s insistence on stocking Christmas decorations and gifts while the sun’s shining, I have tentatively begun to look for present ideas. I have a couple of arty little girls to buy for and this Make Your Own Owl-Sew a softie kit, £3.99, will definitely be winging its way to them. Probably the perfect stocking filler, it’s not only creative, but an absolute bargain and extremely cute. Each pack contains all you need to sew an owl toy: fabric for its body (you choose the colour family), felt appliques for the face and wings, stuffing and the all-important instructions.
