Make Your Own: Ice Balloons
I’m sure you’re wondering what I am doing posting a picture of snow when the sun has finally begun to shine, but I haven’t gone mad – it’s about the ice balloons. All you need to do is fill balloons with water and food colouring, and pop them in the freezer. Peel the balloon off when the water has frozen, et voila… ice marbles. Make them any size you fancy for outdoor fun on sunny days – on the lawn, in the paddling pool – and yes, they make great winter party decorations, too.

There’s an idea on pinterest that could you twice the use from these balloons – before peeling the skin off, you can use the frozen balloons to chill party drinks in a tub – good and cold but without the soggyness that the usual bucketloads of icecubes make.
