I love handbags and one of my peeves about changing bags is when they look un-handbag-like, so it was great to receive a sample from the new Lady with a Baby Collection of changing bags from Samsonite- the Boutique Baby Shoulder Bag.

For a start, it looks like a handbag so it gets an immediate tick. The collection is “urban inspired and elegant in style” which is emphasised with the velvet detailing.

They’re made from 100% cotton and have a bit of a tweedy feel to them which no doubt adds to the ‘lady’ vibe - I just wrote that bit with my best Little Britain voice!

It’s got plenty of room with external and internal pockets with the distinct Samsonite lining, and these include a foil lined bottle holder, and handy side pockets for my three lipglosses, mobile phone, receipts, and little biscuit snacks for the bambino. It also has a changing mat with Samsonite lining on one side, webbing straps to attach it to the pushchair, and…a coordinating folder sleeve for your Personal Child Health Record Book!

Now I know it’s not an essential for the folder sleeve, but this is an example of a company thinking ahead and getting into the mother mentality. How many times have I looked at that book and wondered why it had to be so lairy and overly bendy?
