Whilst I’m a colour fiend (I noted this morning that I’ve got a thing about orange), I recognise that there’s room for a little neutral mixed with tasteful sugar in my life. I checked out keepsake pictures by Scotland based designer, Bobbie McCabe recently.

New Baby Keepsake framed picture

A cute without being saccharine way to remember the finer details, the baby keepsake pictures, for instance, display their handwritten birth date, weight, day they were born, and time, with a mix of hand drawn, painted, and cut illustrations as well as an old style mini cloth nappy with a pin in it and little bows. You can also get christening versions.

The family tree’s are lovely too with the roots of the tree representing the parents from which everything has sprung, with a mother of pearl button for each child, and hand written names at the end of branch.

Incidentally she does some really gorgeous versions for weddings (I have a friend who whilst pleased with the Habitat vouchers we gave her, she was wowwed by these) plus there’s a bespoke design service too. Affordable with prices starting from £22 for the baby keepsakes to around £48 for a large wedding keepsake, the frames and paper are made in the UK with the rest handmade.
