Blackout blinds are one of those things that many parents end up buying in the quest for aiding uninterrupted sleep but they don’t have to be plain. A friend of mine has gone safari with her boys bedroom and snapped up these safari blackout blinds from John Lewis. Whilst it features a softer colour palette, the animals are all made up of of different patterns to lift the design and the blinds mix well with bolder items. They’re available in 5 sizes and range between £29 to £55.50.

I have the neutral version in our room. Genius. Unfortunately we bought a black out blind from Homebase for Little Miss and it isn’t half as good as the John Lewis one. Good job she’s still scared of the dark.
