Since finding the fabulous Feed Your Soul free art project from Indie Fixx I have been keeping my eyes open for more downloadable art. My latest find comes via the wonderful Whole Lotta Lovely blog written by stylist Marie Nichols, who currently works for Ideal Home.

The latest issue has decoration ideas incorporating buttons including the three prints above. You download each of the templates and the customise them yourself with buttons. This project could easily be completed with the ‘help’ of a toddler. As they fit into IKEA frames you won’t be breaking the bank hanging them and they will bring some thrifty style to your nursery.

Love these – would love to have a go at decorating them with buttons but never done it before. Any chance of seeing a larger image of the ones on your blog so I can get some idea of how they have been decorated?

Marie – thank you! Love your blog and your work. Thank you for bringing this to us.

Ellie – That’s the biggest picture we have, I would suggest buying Ideal Home Magazine would probably give you some more detail. Also when you download them it is quite easy to see where the buttons go. Good luck!

Hi – which edition of Ideal Home magazine is it? and which Ikea frames (mentioned in your post)? I’m going to have a go at these very soon

  • Kat says:

The issue came out about a week before that post was written so it’s probably not on the stands any longer. The Ikea frames are the classic Ribba. Click the links to Ideal Home to find out more.
