A funky play mat is a must have with a baby. It is somewhere for them to play and learn. You can take it out and about with you giving you a portable baby safe surface to lay them which is also familiar. As they are washable it means if your baby does have a little puke you won’t have to spend ages clearing up.
I really like this one from Holz Toys. It has a squeeky sun, a cheeky peek-a-boo bunny in his house, crinkly flowers, a mirror pond (like the rest of us, babies love looking at themselves) and a pocket where you can hide surprises for them. It even comes with loops so you can mount it as wall art in their nursery.
