As you know, I’m usually an in-your-face colour and print kinda gal, but there’s a lot to be said for understated hues sometimes – Kitty has a fair bit of black and charcoal in her wardrobe. Childrenswear boutique Mayamin offers a carefully curated selection of cool Scandi pieces in more neutral shades from labels such as Mini A Ture, Lillebarn and Aya Naya, with plain pinafore dresses sitting happily next to striped knitted trousers.
My picks are this fabulous Crow Wing blouse, top, £29, Dundelina (a Norwegian label with designs featuring quirks such as Venus flytrap pockets!) and this amazingly super-soft bamboo babygro, above, £36, with fold-over feet for added snugness, by LilleBa, whose prints range from vintage maps to reindeer. Owner Linn Brynildsen is also a psychologist, so you’ll find lots of information on child development and parenting tips to browse while you shop.
