Smafolk Dress w Pink Apples boys in smafolk prints

The bambino has had the scrumptious Smafolk red apple print dress on the left for several weeks and each time she wears it, I love it even more. Made from super soft, high quality cotton, it’s got a great fit and is perfect for mixing with other (clashing) patterns to great aplomb such as with her black and yellow Babylegs or patterned tights, plus it looks great with leggings and her slim fit jeans. £24.99 at Otismelotis.

The dress has definitely cemented my fan status of the Dutch Danish (‘pregnancy brain’ caught me out earlier and had me mixing up countries as pointed out by a reader…) label which has a distinctly retro seventies vibe with lots of quirky prints (antique cars, owls, penguins, frogs, airplanes, tow trucks, tractors, elephants, and racing cars in wonderfully wacky colourways) which urge you to mix and match for clashing effect, or wear as separates and tone them down by mixing with plainer pieces. Smafolk are ideal for the many parents amongst us that are looking to create their own individual style. They wash well and last a while, plus they look so good, it’s the type of gear you’ll be happy to pass down and reinterpret with another child.

You can find out more about Smafolk on their site and other stockists include Bohemia Design (they have a really large section), Coocoomashu, Tootsie & Fudge, and Nordic Kids.
