Hot Coat Alert! Red Pleat Cape by Molly n Jack

October 29, 2008 by · 1 Comment

mini mode Girl's Red Pleat Cape

If you hadn’t guessed, I’m a bit of a Molly n Jack obsessive (Boots, yes the chemists, more upmarket childrenswear range) and I monitor the site quite closely to see if they’ve added any new pieces and they’ve squeezed in a few including this gorgeous red pleat cape.

Combining a bit of Red Riding Hood and some swinging 60s, it’s made from a wool/viscose mix and is fully lined right down to the hood which you can’t see.

It’s got a delicate trim around the neck and two front pockets which has a biscuity coloured background with embroidered blue flowers and it buttons up with four large buttons to complete the look. It is divine and probably the only slight gripe I have is that it’s a shame it’s not in a lovely deep green, check, or even tartan, or basically other colours because as the festive season approaches it’ll be like a red zone. Still, your little one will be a super hot miniature style fiend strutting around in this and it’s definitely a coat that will look great dressed up or down. Make sure you go all out with a killer hat.

In sizes from 6 months right through to 6 years for £26 at Mini Mode.
