Hot Christmas Buy: Plan Toys Eco Dollhouse
I first saw this amazing eco dollhouse by Thai toy maker Plan Toys (I featured their garage yesterday) a few months back and it finally became available in the Autumn. Plan Toys are well known for making eco friendly toys from sustainable wood with non toxic paints, but they have upped the ante on their ethos by creating a wonderful eco home featuring solar panels, wind turbines, recycling bins, and a rain water butt, this is about as cool as it gets in demonstrating green living through imaginative play.
The excitement doesn’t stop there though – the energy efficient design features an electric inverter for creating electricity, a biofacade provides shading by using the cycle of plant growth, and the blinds adjust to the amount of sunlight and breeze. The furniture is made from recycled and sustainable wood sources and all of the fabric is organic cotton. The effort and detail in this green dolls house is quite frankly, the height of cool. The RRP is around £149.99 but I have seen it at Babipur for £117.99.
Suitable from age 3, this is something I suspect that adults will enjoy too and it represents a brilliant way to instil environmental and socially conscious thinking in your child through creative and imaginative play.
