I’ve always been surprised at how much globes in general cost, so I nearly keeled over when I saw the price of this one from The Conran Shop. £255 of your finest smackeroos!

But it is pretty amazing. It’s basically a giant cloth globe with a plastic inflatable inner and 180 felt motifs to stick all over it.

This is a very unique (albeit expensive) way to teach your little one about the world and there is certainly hours of fun to be had with this.

For this price, I reckon mummy and daddy would have to play with it too!

There is a cheaper alternative at hand (other than getting your average globe and having a Blue Peter moment…

The Conran Shop also sell a Mini World Globe which can be hung from the ceiling or detached and used as a ball. It comes with 20 motifs which include animals, place names, and people in national costume.
