Funky Little Darlings

May 20, 2008 by · 3 Comments

Birdies Wallpaper at Funky Little DarlingsThis is the kind of shop which makes my heart beat that little bit faster! Funky Little Darlings is a visual delight which promises to banish bland childrens’ decor.

Mandy Colliss and David Quinton developed their ready-made mural concept after they saw “the look on people’s faces when we turned up for the eleventh consecutive day” when they were hand painting murals. And so the wallpaper mural was born. Printed on high quality wipe clean vinyl, these murals can be sized to fit any wall.

Ferrari Across EuropeI adore this ‘birdies‘ design and can see it being a vibrant backdrop to a play room. The minimum order is two metres square which comes out at £220 so definitely one for the larger budget. If you can’t stretch to that, you could

always have the same design from £69.99 for a 305 x 225mm ready to hang canvas.

Not only do they have a fabulous range of designs ready for you to choose from; you could also commission a design. This commission (right), “Ferrari Across Europe”, was featured on Channel 4′s Grand Designs earlier this year in an eco-friendly contemporary home.

Bambino Goodies Hot Find

I think Funky Little Darlings is a fine example modern of British design and innovation.
