I have been coveting the designs of Famille Summerbelle for a couple of months now. They are the perfect mix of whimsical and beautiful.

The team is husband and wife Simon and Julie, proud parents of Orphelia. Julie is the designer and creative director and Simon does ‘all the other stuff’. All their products are handmade in the UK. Their aim is to produce children’s decoration which retains the creative, elegant warmth of the family home. They have certainly achieved that and have stunning goodies for you to own and love.

My favourites:

The Bluebird Tongue Twister Cushion for £40 is a generously sized silkscreened cushion. It is 100% cotton and filled with duck feathers. I can just see MamaGeek and BabyGeek lying back on a pile (yes, a pile) of these delightful cushions and enjoying a story.

The Family Tree for £45, what a pretty way to include your family in the nursery. The print is unframed so you can pick a frame which fits in with your decor. I think this would make a fantastic gift for a christening or first birthday.

You can also snap up toy bags and hand silkscreened wallpaper. Be sure to check out their gallery and press sections which feature photos from around their home - a great inspiration to anyone decorating any space.
