Fabulous Dresses from Belle & Boo

Belle and Boo Dresses

It is no secret that we adore Belle & Boo from UK artist Mandy Sutcliffe. Her whimsical creations have captured the hearts of many and after barely two years, business appears to be booming. I could easily get Belle & Boo happy and fill my house with the delights of the ever growing range.

Earlier this year Mandy and Australian designer Esa West of Tea Pony released their first collaboration: Lost Dress (above left). A perfect cotton summer dress with cute Lucien print cap sleeves and a tie fastened neck. The body of the dress has plenty of room for playing and features the Belle & Boo ‘Lost’ print which continues around the back of the dress. It is also very easy to get onto small babies (I know this as I slipped one onto a 3 month old Monty to check sizing for our local stockist The Beanstalk – don’t think he minded!). Sizes 3 – 6 months to 3 – 4 years.

This month they have released their second collaboration the Let’s Hug Pinafore Dress (above right). It is made from a soft denim fabric which gives it a trans-seasonal quality. The detailing is cute as a button – loving the red & white trim and drawstring. Of course it features the ‘Let’s Hug’ print this time on a pocket. If you’re lucky you could always win one on Esa’s blog as she has a giveaway running until 27th July 2009. Sizes 6 – 12 months to 3 – 4 years.

hot buy bambino goodiesI hope this is a long lived partnership, as Mandy’s prints and Esa’s dresses are made for each other. Both dresses are £32 from Belle & Boo.
