Rebecca Rattan Whitewash East Coast Dresser

Natalie writes…

When we were looking for a changing table for the bambino last year, I was a bit put off by the prices as I felt for what was often close to £200 or more that I’d want something that I actually liked the look of in good quality.

If this was just summer 07, I probably would have snapped up this Rebecca Rattan Whitewash East Coast Dresser from Kiddicare which are currently reduced from £199.99 down to…£69.99. Bargain-o-rama!

It’s made from solid pine (I’m normally nervous around pine admittedly) but the key word here is solid – you’d be surprised how much MDF and plastic you can get out of £200 normally… For me, I’d probably give it a lick of paint in something a bit brighter (knowing me orange or hot pink, and maybe a bit of chalkboard paint on the cupboard panel, and hey presto, I’d have a customised changing table with plenty of change out of £100.

Or you could leave it as is and it would still look lovely in your nursery, especially if you accessorise it well. A must have is the Cotton Baby changing mat covers which come in an amazing range of delectable colours from Little Baby Company for £13.95.

It’s certainly built to last so it’ll still be handy piece of storage even when the changing table comes off.

Dimensions with changing unit: Height 100cm Width 84cm Depth 70cm

It takes about 6 weeks for delivery as it’s direct from the manufacturer, so I’d order now if you really want one, especially if you have a bambino due soon.

£69.99 down from £199.99 at Kiddicare. Also check out other changing tables in the East Coast range.
