Ah, it’s the second last day of my hunt for winter coats which has taken me all over t’internet in pursuit of style across each budget. With today’s finds, I was totally looking for something else when I stumbled across these two organic, merino blend coats by Aravore Babies at Adili with a very pleasing 30% off. We’re big fans of merino here at BG because it’s a very eco friendly, natural, breathable fabric that feels like silk against the skin. And it keeps baby warm in winter and cool in summer, is easy to care for, and is basically fabulous!

Both coats are in a ‘natural’ colour which normally I shy away from as you know I’m not overtly keen on neutrals, but with these coats I’ll make an exception because there’s no escaping how gorgeous they are, especially the Long Retro Coat with Corsage pictured above.

It’s in a yummy woven knit look and made from a blend of organic cotton and merino and has been traditionally hand loomed. It’s got a sweet petal detail collar with a double breast of chunky wooden buttons and a sweet corsage on the left. Yes it’s cream but with some brights underneath she’ll be looking hot to trot and of course, it will look fabulous if your baby is going somewhere fancy. Oh and it would look great as part of christening outfit! It was £45 and is now down to £31.50 in 3-6, 6-12, and 12-18 months.

Vintage Matinee Coat

They also have this Vintage Matinee Coat also handloomed in the same cotton and merino blend, which has a slight gather detail below the chest. Whilst it is a less detailed look than the retro coat, it is oh so chic. It’s also £31.50 and available in the same sizes.

Each coat comes with a tag signed by the person who made it. Who says organic always has to break the bank?

Note that even though tomorrow is the last day of the ‘hunt’, I will of course be featuring coats as and when they turn up!
