As soon as I clapped eyes on these imaginative, cheeky illustrations by children’s book illustrator Phil Alderson, I felt excited! Phil’s a new dad and together with his sister-in-law Claire, they’ve created Stinky Whizzers. Their collection of posters and canvases are animated, vibrant illustrations full of cheeky characters mixed with an educational element.
From counting owls, to the characters adventures in biplanes (also see them on a London bus and a train, but to name a few) where your child can learn who all of the animals are, to alphabet posters (also available in a portrait version) where the animals are all up to something – ‘A penguin pecking pizza’ and ‘A newt reading a newspaper’, as well as the ones shown.
They also have individual letters in floating frames for £25.
It’s great to find some more cool British talent focused on fun artwork for kids spaces and prices for canvases start from £70 for 60 X 40 cm and are available in a few sizes and posters are £15 each, with them all being suitable for Ikea and Habitat frames.
