We're Going On A Bear Hunt

I’m already ruing the day I let slip to the kids that Michael Rosen’s, We’re Going On A Bear Hunt, one of their favourite stories of all time, will be live on stage at the Lyric Theatre this summer from July 3rd – Sept 1st. It’s going to be a looooong countdown!

This fast paced tale of a family’s adventure through the forest to find a bear and their speedy race home is bound to be lots of fun and I suppose I should be thankful that the bear doesn’t look too realistic. Tickets are from £15 with babies under 18 months going free (you still need to book a babes in arm ticket). Available from Love Theatre.

We’re huge fans of illustrator Jennie Maizels whose embroidered iron-on Clothes Plasters not only fix the inevitable tears in your child’s clothes but they also add a bit of individual detailing, tear or not. There’s several themed sets and the latest additions are ‘Disco’ and ‘Deep Blue Sea’ which are £7.99 each including postage and spiffing gift wrap. I may nick one or two for myself when ours arrive…

Selfridges, my second favourite department store after Liberty, is home to the world’s largest shoe department and from now until April 21st, they’re hosting a shoe carnival packed full of activities and in-store exclusives for shoe lovers. Step2wo run the children’s shoe department where aside from their own range of shoes in luxury leathers and textiles, they also stock a number of designer brands. They’ll be hosting events including shoe bag customisation, an Amazonian eco installation by ethical shoe brand Veja to teach kids about how organic shoes are made, an Easter shoe hunt, and debuting Ralph Lauren’s limited edition collection of graffiti.
