This is a rather intricate light made of metal and glass from Ilva, the sort of more ‘upmarket’ Ikea type store. I’m quite surprised at the design of this Vintage Propeller Plane Pendant which seems to be a random standalone item in its childrens collectionIt’s just not the sort of thing I expect from Ilva who are lots of understated black, white, and wood furniture free of lots of detail.

Casalino Chair Jr
May 2nd, 2008 · No Comments
The boyf and I have recently become obsessed with retro furniture so it’s no surprises that I’m loving the Grass Chameleon, a Casalino Chair (Jr) which is a 70s pop icon that’s been adapted for children. Sleek, elegant, ergonomic, and very robust, the plastic is easy to clean, fade resistant, and non-scratch.

They’re made from recycled corrugated cardboard and arrive flatpacked and are easy to set up and just as easy to dismantle and put away making them great, little space-savers. Like all cardboard toys and furniture you can stamp your own style on them with paints, pens, crayons, or covering them with funky wrapping paper or wallpaper.

Tamar Mogendorff Birdcage with Two Birds

Of course the boyf would probably shoot me if I spent £79 on a fabric birdcage (I can just hear him saying “They had BETTER fly!”) but it is a handmade cage made from vintage fabrics that would look oh so gorgeous hanging in the nursery or even in a quiet corner of the sitting room.

They are for permanent application though which basically means when you take it off your wall, it may not be the only thing that comes off!… I think they’re great and I wouldn’t be surprised if some people use them outside of children’s bedrooms!
