Anyone got a spare £410? No? Damn. It’s just that I really, really need to buy this amazing table by Chinese, Sweden-based designer (and master in Child Culture Design) Tian Tiang. Come and Draw is a table with a difference, featuring 300 multicoloured circular sheets of paper on top, ideal for collaborative projects or just spinning fun.

It is completely eco-friendly and the offcuts from the production process go towards making the Come and Draw clock (comprising 48 sheets of paper), a brilliant number-learning device, which is a considerably more affordable £44.50. A great bit of design that kids will love too can be yours from fabulous eco boutique e-side.

I’ve been keeping an eye out for a coffee table and have fallen madly in love with the mid-century vibed Dorig storage coffee table. Featuring two very handy storage sections for keeping clutter at bay… and panic tidying when people show up unexpectedly, it’s made from beautiful solid oak with lacquered mdf for the table tops and it comes in the fantastic yellow shown, as well as white and red (with solid ash).

I love the Dutch designed Flux chair, a large polypropylene envelope that transforms into a chair and winner of the Grand Designs Product of the Year Award 2011. Now there’s a junior version (suitable from 3+), which can be flatpacked in a couple of folds, used indoors and outdoors and can take up to 12 stone in weight. Available in six colours, the pink and blue are available from Lula Sapphire for £79, and try Minimal Home for other colours.

We love the iconography of London so needless to say, this guards suitcase by Cath Kidston is on our temptation list. Inspiration: Wardrobe Revival

I am in love with this bright yellow wardrobe. The combination of the old design, fresh colour and retro interior have me smitten.

Get the look:

Old wardrobe: there are a whole host of place you could scout for an nice looking old wardrobe. My top hits would be charity furniture shops (Oxfam & Emaus are both great), the dump, second hand dealers and eBay. For children’s clothing a Gentleman’s Wardrobe works really well – I managed to snag one for 99p on eBay which is in my kitchen.
Brightly coloured matte or eggshell finish paint in your chosen colour. Finely sand the surface before painting for and even finish.
Retro fabric or wallpaper: again hit the second hand sources here. For funky vintage wallpaper there is Retro Villa who are hard to beat.

The Moon Crib by Creme Anglaise

Even though I’m still waiting on pricing and stockist information, I had to show you the hotness that is the Moon Crib, a collaboration between French couple, designer Emilie of Creme Anglaise and her furniture maker husband Jocelyn Costis. My eyes were on stalks when I opened my email this morning!

Handmade from recycled wooden palette, this stunning cot with its cutout stars and tranquil setting, was designed as a home for their baby that’s due to arrive in a few days time. The bedding and cushions are by Emilie too. You’ll be able to lay your hands on your very own moon crib from February via her store as well other stockists (TBA) for €990. An investment piece for sure!

Chiconomy Buy: Coloured Cots from Kiddicare

We’re still mourning the loss of the Brio cotbed which was a bright style-light in the lower price brackets when it comes to baby furniture. Since it departed along with the elegant grey cot from Zara Home Kids the only colourful option seemed to be the Somnat from Ikea. But no more! Enter Kiddicare with a colourful budget option in five gorgeous shades.

If I were buying one of these I’d find it hard to choose as I can see each of the colours working in different schemes. I like the curve on the ends of the cot, a small bit of detail which seems more gentle than a blunt edge. The cots have fixed sides and two base positions.

Best of all is the price. The red, yellow and grey are £49.99 each and the pink and blue are £69.99 all from Kiddicare.

Resol Julietta Children’s Table and Chairs

I was having a bit of a browse for cool table and chairs for a friend this weekend when I happened on this rather delicious set from John Lewis.

Made by Spanish designers Resol, this table and chair set is designed for the garden but I think it would work just as well inside the home. Both the table and the chairs come in five colours allowing you to mix, match and express a little personality. The tables and chairs can all be stacked for easy storage.

Priced at £25 for a table and £15 per chair I think they come in at the lower end of cool children’s furniture. Available online and in store from John Lewis.

Nonah! furniture at Monsters & Munchkins

Ooh, there’s some hot new furniture around this week. Yesterday, Bobo Choses’s amazing chairs, today Nonah!, a French company designing eco pieces for children. The entire collection is made from solid sustainable wood, sourced in Latvia, where it is also manufactured.

The pieces seem really sturdy and only eco paints in a cool vibrant palette are used. I love everything, but my favourites are the stackable toy boxes, top, £130 for three, and the Salamandre modular bookcase, above, £750. Bobo Choses Petit Chair

Bobo Choses are one of my favourite clothing designers for children at the moment. I steam up the virtual windows of shops gazing at their quirky prints which are both chic and playful. When their new chairs popped into my inbox I was all of a fluster.

The Petit Chair is an instant design classic in my book. It has elegant wooden legs positioned to give a firm base as well as to be pleasing to the eye. The canvass hammock-like seat is features one of three Bobo prints and envelopes the sitter. Gorgeous from the bottom up.
