The boyf and I have recently become obsessed with retro furniture so it’s no surprises that I’m loving the Grass Chameleon, a Casalino Chair (Jr) which is a 70s pop icon that’s been adapted for children. Sleek, elegant, ergonomic, and very robust, the plastic is easy to clean, fade resistant, and non-scratch.

Review: Sniglar Changing Table
May 1st, 2008 · No Comments
I am actually quite excited about being able to buy more Ikea products online (I’ve been wanting to go there for about 6 weeks but haven’t been able to face the thought of chasing my ‘tail’ going around in circles in a crowd) but I am quite disappointed that ‘full’ doesn’t actually mean full if you’re in the childrens department with most things unavailable to add to your shopping basket…. It’s easier if you buy the changing mat from Ikea however, because the bambino seems to be really tall, it’s actually worked in our favour that we had a slightly bigger one from Mothercare which stops her feet from hitting the edge of the table.

2 Pack of Cardboard Toddler Chairs
May 1st, 2008 · No Comments
They’re made from recycled corrugated cardboard and arrive flatpacked and are easy to set up and just as easy to dismantle and put away making them great, little space-savers. Like all cardboard toys and furniture you can stamp your own style on them with paints, pens, crayons, or covering them with funky wrapping paper or wallpaper.

I think I need to get rich and have a wing in the house for the bambino’s special pad which could feature this sofa by NUME…. NUME’s products are focused on stimulating creativity and freedom of expression and with furniture come creative play products like this, they have really hit the spot with me.

Not Neutral Bedroom Furniture

I was pretty excited when I found out about new baby store KidsPod as they stock Not Neutral, a very cool American brand but initially I thought that it was just their dining ware…. It has a very cool feature of a deep shelf at the foot of the bed which could be used for storing things on or as they suggest, for your little one to sit on and tie their shoe laces.

Alma Chair by Javier Mariscal

It’s made from from fibreglass-reinforced polypropylene and it’s part of the Magis Me Too Collection which is specifically aimed at kids. The ribbing on the backrest which is actually necessary for the structure of the chair has been fashioned into tree branches that have little birdies dotted along them.

Star Origami Inspired Chair
March 14th, 2008 · 3 Comments
Cardboard children’s products are becoming really popular and I love this origami inspired chair designed by David Wilson for Habitat.
It does come in a variety of colours, they just don’t say which ones because…they don’t sell online.
Cardboard doesn’t come cheap though…

If I was feeling rather flush (and the bambino was old enough), I would be very tempted to get these beautiful Otto table and Chairs designed by Bloom, maker of very simply designed, yet very desirable products. Oh and did I mention they’re expensive!
It’s got two little trays that slide out of each side […]
