my baby is due in about 3 weeks and i have been going crazy looking for the right pushchair. with my other 2 children i went through loads of pushchairs- mamasandpapas, graco, britax, maclaren and a few more that i can't remember, because i was never satisfied. they would either be too bulky, not easy to push, backrest wasn't easy to adjust whilst baby in seat, i can be really critical when it comes to baby stuff, just like i was when i bought my car! (am sure you think i'm too fussy, but i think if i am paying for something that i will be using then i should be more than satisfied with it- so i can praise it till it's end) any way from my experience maclaren techno xt and xlr was the best, however the cheaper maclarens were good too.
now i'm having the 3rd baby after a 5 year gap and i'm trying not to make the same mistakes again. so after loads of research i think the best ones on the market at the moment are the maclaren travel system (with the car seat), it's light and you can stick to the stroller when your baby grows out of the car seat and their strollers are very good. mamas and papas luna with the car seat and carry cot- again it's light and colours are not boring, but putting carrycot on is a bit fiddly because you have to strap all 4 corners down. car seat needs adapters- you have to take bumperbar off and clip adapters on for the car seat- so it's a bit time consuming but looks good when you've done it. bugaboo bee is cute, but i don't think a 2yr old would find it very comfortable, because the seat is very narrow and low.
i have bought the luna because it is different and i didn't have to buy the car seat that goes on it because my sisters baby will be 9 months in a few weeks and she won't need it. i bought the luna with the carrycot, bag, liner, apron. i don't know why but at the back of my mind i keep thinking i'm going to get fedup with it.lets see??
i did originally go instore to buy the m&p skate, but it's just too heavy and as the baby gets heavier the skate will too.- but i still like the look of it very much.- knowing me, i might just get one ..

This is a great little guide Natalie! I totally agree with you about the Phil and Ted's Vibe. It's a stunning double pushchair.

I really wish that more pushchair manufacturers would design pushchairs with the option to add on an additional seat. I've known too many people who've had to fork out for a double pushchair because the second one came along earlier than expected!
