Brother Max 3-in-1 Thermometer

Natalie writes…I already own the Braun Thermoscan Ear Thermometer which whilst it’s not the sexiest looking thing, I’ve become a dab hand at using it and I do feel extra comforted that it’s used at my doctors surgery. But…if I was buying an ear thermometer now, I think I’d find it hard to resist the Brother Max 3-in-1 Thermometer.

If you haven’t heard of Brother Max, this is a company formed by a group of parents in 2005 so that they could create “simple, clever, ideas”. I’m a huge fan of their bath toys and the brand is a firm favourite because they recognise that there are some of us parents that like our baby gear to look good as well as work well.

So what does it do? It measures ear, forehead, and room temperatures and can be fixed to a flat surface or wall mounted in a stand. Admittedly we’re quite organised about where we keep our ear thermometer but that’s because on one of the occasions when we needed it last year, accusations were flying about who handled it last when we couldn’t find it. So yes, a thermometer with a fixed abode sounds very attractive.

There are no probe covers unlike the Braun Thermoscan Ear Thermometer and instead you just wipe the probe clean. It’s backlit for night reading, reads in 1 second, has simple buttons, and you can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit nice and simply. In essence, practical, uncomplicated, and sexy looking.

It normally retails for £34.99 and is current on offer at Kiddicare for £29.99.
