Bring It On, Baby by Zoe Williams

August 19, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

I recently won a copy of Bring it on, Baby: How to Have a Dudelike Pregnancy by Zoe Williams. If you despaired of the usual kittens and roses accounts of pregnancy then this book could just be for you. In the usual forthright manner she writes her regular Guardian column, Anti-natal, Williams gives you the low down on the ups (few) and downs (hilarious) of her pregnancies. Topics include her campaign against the alcohol abstinence in pregnancy advice, how even though she has been caught out twice she believes no one gets pregnant accidentally and (my favourite) the many ways her partner annoyed her when she was pregnant. Well worth a read for laughs alone.
