I’m a huge fan of organic clothing for babies – it’s just so much softer against their delicate skin. I also try to buy ethically produced as much as possible, but, unfortunately, sometimes it’s hard to sacrifice style for your principles. Thank goodness, then, for Belle & Dean’s gorgeous organic bodysuits which have impeccable credentials (everything is made in a small factory in Singapore using fair-trade cotton) and feature cool prints of endangered species.

hot buy bambino goodiesChoose from a white or natural base, short (£8), long (£9) or no sleeves (£7.50) and weird and wonderful animals, from Hugh’s hedgehog to the pygmy elephant, via, my personal favourite, the Africa giraffe. There are also baby (£8) and toddler tees (£10) and bibs (£4.50) adorned with the same designs and a host of plain organic basics, including the snuggliest cotton jersey blankets (£15) a nd sleepsuits (£11), that would make lovely newborn gifts. All in all, a super-stylish way to save the planet.
