While at the Bubble London trade show yesterday I came across the stand of our old favourites, Aden and Anais. Aden and Anais produce beautiful soft cotton muslins in a super 47 x 47cm size, perfect for swaddling. Their oversize muzzies are a big favourite in our house and are used for everything from impromptu sunshades to superhero capes and both of my children are currently sleeping under one of them each night. They are hard wearing and after two years of almost constant use and washing they still look as good as ever and feel even better.
With every single muslin design hung alongside each other they made an impressive sight and I stopped to check out their new prints. The first muslin I laid my hands on was one of the Earthly Bamboo Swaddles (above left) and I was amazed by how soft and silky it felt. My first guess was they had released a cashmere swaddle and was amazed when I was told it was bamboo. The fine fabric is light, fluid and incredibly tactile allowing air to circulate whilst snuggling your baby. They come in two packs of three either the orange and grey print of the Melba or the unprinted Earthly Bamboo Swaddles. Both are £29.95 for a pack of three.
The Earthly Bamboo Swaddles range has also had some fab new prints since I last took a look. I am especially loving the Super Stars print pictured above and below. Natalie and I were absolutely thrilled to be given one each to take away. The Classic Swaddles can be bought in packs of four for £34.95, packs of two for £22 and as singles in a draw string bag (as pictured below) for £12.95.
