NML/Natalie Editor

Hi, I’m Natalie also more commonly known as ‘NML’ and I’m the founder of Bambino Goodies. I started blogging 5 years ago after going on a bad date, and after sharing my antics about love, life, and my crazy colleagues and family, I put my experiences to good use and started a dating and relationship blog, Baggage Reclaim. I got ‘up the duff’ in September 2006 and by the time I was getting ready to pop, inspired by everyone praising my shopping skills and eye for unusual baby products, Bambino Goodies was born on May 5th 2007.

Since then, I’ve had ‘the bambino’ (otherwise known as Saria), who was born 31st May 2007, been on maternity leave, returned to work for 4 days in January 08, and then left the chaos to work for myself. I now write and publish my blogs for a living, juggling the wondrous world of baby products with essentially being a dating coach/’expert’, and in that time, I got pregnant again and had ‘baby 2′ on 17th April 2009, otherwise known as Nia.

My blogs are inspired by my life, so Bambino Goodies, and the subsequent Nest Goodies combine my passion for design led, stylish products with my penchant for shopping and pressing my nose up against the virtual shop window. I am a colour fiend with a serious penchant for retro and vintage gear mixed in with sleek modern pieces. I’ve been a fan of Scandinavian design for years and having kids has cemented that further, but British design is really gathering pace, so I love hunting down Brit finds.

Aside from shopping, or getting other people to spend their money, I love sewing (well more like stacking up sewing projects these days), reading (when I have time and I can veer from globalisation to delicious ‘trash’), I’m developing a taste for DIY, and am a bit of a gadget/technology/gaming lover, although my habits have been heavily impacted by having two kids!

Prior to going it alone, I worked in media roles for over ten years, starting out in radio in Dublin and ending up in magazine publishing in London, and in between all of this I got a degree in product design. If you’re wondering about the Dublin connection, I was born in the UK in Wolves, and moved to Dublin when I was ten after living in Carlise and then Zambia for a couple of years… I was brought up in Dublin and it’s my other ‘home’ although I haven’t been back for ages!

I live with ‘the boyf’ and the kids on the edge of London in Surrey where we can actually see trees, fields, and even hills!
