I have been bargain hunting this week, in a feeble attempt to help you lot out in the credit crunch. I have to say, given the vast array of gorgeous baby gifts in the shops and online, it hasn’t been easy but here is my pick of the bunch…

Every baby needs a money box (both of my children have more money than me!) and I think this one from Money Box Shop is lovely. A silver plated snail, with “ABC” and enamel detail on the shell, it will make a fantastic addition to any nursery shelf, and will keep all that pocket money from Granny safe. It definitely won’t break the bank at only £14.50.
